Shabbat services take place every Saturday morning and twice a month on Friday nights. All services are hybrid, with the exception of one Friday night per month that is on Zoom only. All in-person services take place at Rodef Shalom. Please contact us to pre-register for a Zoom service at firstname.lastname@example.org. Contact our administrator for service times.
Friday Hybrid Services
Friday night hybrid services are led once a month by Dor Hadash members and our rabbi, and are followed by a talk given by a community leader or member. Services are followed by an oneg of light refreshments.
Once a month, we hold a brief, 30-minute kabbalat Shabbat service held only on Zoom. The service features singing, readings, candlelighting, kiddush, and motzi, leading into your own Shabbat dinner at home. Non-members must pre-register in order to receive the Zoom link by emailing email@example.com.
Our monthly congregant-led Torah service is conducted mostly in Hebrew and includes prayer, reflections and lots of singing. The weekly Torah portion is chanted, preceded by a brief teaching. Services are followed by a Kiddush involving food as well as areas for masked socializing. B'Mitzvah services begin at 9:30 and congregants are welcome to attend.
Shabbat morning Torah Study
Every week there is an opportunity to study the weekly Torah portion together. We begin with a brief morning service, followed by an informal and spirited discussion of the weekly Torah portion. Those with all backgrounds in Torah study are welcome. Start times vary.
Shabbat B’Yachad (Shabbat Together), Saturday
Once a month, we invite families and congregants to join us for a 75-minute service that is highly participatory and geared for those who’d like to become more familiar with the prayers in a multi-generational setting.
Jewish holidays are celebrated at Dor Hadash or in collaboration with neighboring congregations. All services are publicized in the calendar. For questions or more information, please contact Nicole at firstname.lastname@example.org.
