Dor Hadash Book Club

Join other book-lovers for a monthly discussion about a book of our choice. The Book Group has been meeting every other month for the last 13 years. We read fiction with Jewish content with an emphasis on Israeli novels in translation. We discuss the novels from 7:00 pm to 8:30 pm on a weekday evening.  The day of the week varies, depending on what is most convenient for the most people.

All are welcome to join us. If you would like to attend or to be on the mailing list, contact Hal Grinberg at hgrinberg@dorhadash.net. Information will also be sent on the congregation email.

Biblical Hebrew on Tuesdays with Hal

Dor Hadash has a Biblical Hebrew Group, which meets every Tuesday at 6:30 pm on Zoom.  Each week a section of the weekly portion is selected, and the group reads and translates it. Meanings, roots, and grammar are all covered each week. Students are on many different levels of Hebrew, from beginner to intermediate; it’s a one-room schoolhouse.

Dor Hadash, located in the heart of Squirrel Hill, offers a lay-led, reconstructionist alternative. Join us on any Shabbat!
